Make the most of your movies, series or sports games up to 150 inches in size, no matter where you are! With its EpiqVision EF12, Epson offers a powerful and compact laser projector that is an alternative to flat screen televisions.
It’s not always easy to find the right solution for us when it comes to watching our entertainment.
Most of the time we look for a TV, but this can quickly get expensive for a format that may not be suitable for us. We would love to get bigger!
If this is the case, a projector is always an interesting solution to consider for projecting our films, series or sports matches on a large scale.
It’s even more fun when this projector is portable and can be carried from room to room, to our cottage or even to friends.
A versatile projector packed with options
Epson EpiqVision EF12 is a portable and compact laser projector capable of displaying an image up to 150 inches.
The advantage of this technology lies in its durability compared to projectors with lamps. Its duration is about 20,000 hours. Under normal conditions, we will need it for the next 10 years.
Epson EpiqVision EF12 is a laser projector capable of displaying an image up to 150 inches.
Epson EpiqVision EF12 incorporates a powerful integrated Yamaha speaker of excellent quality. It offers good bass and clear sound. Designed exclusively for this projector, it does not replace a home theater system, but offers a good basic solution.
You can use a Bluetooth connection to use it as a home speaker even if the projection function is turned off.
Our Android apps directly inside the projector
With its Android TV system, there is a panoply of services and applications for streaming viewing. You can watch content from Tou.TV, Crave, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney + and many more.
Oddly, despite an impressive number of applications available, Netflix’s is missing.
With its two HDMI ports, you can connect a Fire TV Stick or Google TV to watch additional content.
The Epson EpiqVision EF12 projector is equipped with 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 1 USB-A port and a 3.5mm port.
It is possible to stream content directly to the device from our tablet, phone or even our laptop with the Google Chromecast option.
Image adjustment is performed automatically. If we move it or change rooms, it will automatically adjust all necessary angle corrections and focus. We benefit from an always clear and rectangular image without breaking our heads in the adjustments.
The EpiqVision projector adjusts automatically so you can take it anywhere quickly.
This projector is also compatible with 4K technology. However, it must be specified that it “accepts” that the sources are in 4K but will only project in 1080p.
Another warning, this time for video game fans. Epson EpiqVision EF12 is not ideal for use with video game consoles. In fact, it greatly increases the latency, around 120 ms.
While it’s meant to be portable due to its small size, we find it a shame that this projector doesn’t have a lens protector. We must therefore provide an alternative solution if we do not want to damage it.
Despite everything, the Epson EpiqVision EF12 projector remains a great alternative to high definition televisions. Not only can we project to a size of 150 inches, but we can also easily take it with us.
The Epson EpiqVision EF12 projector can be found at many electronics retailers in the $ 1300 waters. One price is pretty attractive when you think that an HDTV over 60 inches is worth more.
