The Canadiens will play in New Brunswick and Terranova in October

There are still between 2 and 5 games left in the 2021-22 playoffs, but many people already have the 2022-23 season in mind on the hockey planet.

We can’t wait for the NHL Entry Draft to be held in Montreal on July 7 and 8 …

And we all have it took leave circled the date of July 13 – opening of the free agent market – in our calendar. Then comes the real offseason in the NHL …

Then, from September, the retreats and the 2022-23 season will occupy our days and evenings again. The wheel turns, as my former colleague sang at the time.

We know the NHL will start its season on October 11 and Kent Hughes has said the team will play eight preseason games before this one. Eight is a lot (too many?) …

Going back to pre-COVID-19 life also comes with its drawbacks, hehe.

The full schedule of the NHL, including that of the Canadiens, will be unveiled somewhere in July, but clues / information the independent will come out great by then.

This morning, the NHL announced that the Canadiens and the Senators will meet in New Brunswick and Newfoundland during the preseason schedule. The games will take place on October 6 at the Steele Community Center in Gander, Newfoundland, and on October 8 at the JK Irving Center in Bouctouche, New Brunswick.

These matches have been scheduled for a long time: Twillingate (Newfoundland) and Elsipogtog (New Brunswick) are the cities / countries winners of the 2020 and 2021 editions of the annual Kraft Hockeyville competition. We remind you that due to COVID-19 the 2020 and 2021 editions could never be presented.

Steele Community Center Capacity And of the JK Irving Center has 1,100 supporters. It will most likely be very difficult to get tickets for these exhibition matches between the CH and the Meaning. #Shortage

It will be interesting to see which Canadiens players – and not Rocket, junior team or by invitation – will travel to the Maritimes. Since the team will spend three days (or more) of their camp away from Montreal, it’s a safe bet that many of all will be on the road. Unless we organize two round trips of a few hours?

Will the senators bring their big shots? Will Carey Price be traveling?

Typically, the Canadian plays four preseason games at the Bell Center, then four more overseas. Will the rest of the preseason schedule consist of four games at the Bell Center and two more elsewhere not too far from Montreal? It could be…

But if the team decides to keep only two or three in Montreal, no one will complain. These matches are generally used to collect a little more Cash out of the pocket of season ticket holders who must procure tickets to secure tickets for the regular season.

Lot of

– New rules and a new scoring system during the Memorial Cup preliminary round.

– Sea Dogs kept a (very) short morning skating this morning.

– Sam Gagner in Toronto to please John Tavares?

– A Haitian team with a Montreal flavor.

– Has the retirement arrived for David Lemieux?

– Artur Beterbiev unfortunately will not face NOT Dmitry Bivol in his next meeting.
