Sniper Elite 5 refines its accuracy with a new update

Released just under a month ago, the Elite Sniper 5 works tirelessly to improve the game and eliminate as many bugs as possible. Update 1.06 brings several fixes and changes. As a bonus, a new multiplayer map and a nighttime version of an existing map, No-Cross Urban Ruins, is also included. Among the improvements, PC gamers will be happy to learn that a depth of field slider or better sensitivity is available on the Teller Mine.

The list of changes made by patch 1.06:

  • Removed some input lag and softened dead zone edges for “aim” inputs. This should allow for better aiming control.
  • Various fixes to prevent the player from falling or hanging in the ground or getting stuck in the “falling” animation.
  • Fixed general collision issues that allowed players to pass through certain walls in different locations.
  • Various fixes to prevent players from getting stuck on the stairs
  • Fixed an issue that prevented camera control when a player entered photo mode with a viewfinder.
  • The free camera is now slightly limited in Photo mode, to prevent exploits during Axis invasions.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the weapon to slide incorrectly when using a mounted machine gun.
  • Med Kits now work as expected when applied.
  • The Precision Machinery Receiver accessory now properly reduces speed instead of increasing it.
  • Austen Control Grip now improves recoil recovery as intended.
  • Jeff Sullivan’s gear now appears as expected when selected as a playable character.
  • The “Show” and “Saboteur” medals now unlock correctly
  • Gunners no longer T pose when hit.
  • The player can no longer equip weapons or binoculars when using a mounted machine gun.
  • Dead enemies hidden in crates no longer keep moving.
  • The player can no longer hide underwater in the Landing Zone multiplayer map.
  • Grenades no longer stick to the player’s hand when trying to throw them.
  • Grenade arcs no longer disappear unexpectedly.
  • Fixed an issue with being able to use the Grenade hotkey.
  • Fixed an issue where Herr Grunberg’s name was displayed incorrectly when looking at him through binoculars.
  • Boost magazine now correctly displays the “Increase bullet drop” option as a condition.
  • Enemy AI no longer disappears from the map when a cutscene is triggered
  • The trapped bodies now explode as expected.
  • Fixed an issue where the glows were moving slowly.
  • Players will no longer be able to earn the Authentic Trophy by taking advantage of the ability to change the difficulty in the pause menu.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented corpses from falling while harvesting.
  • Fixed an issue where AI was caught in a consistent investigation loop.
  • Fruit crates no longer levitate or seem to multiply unexpectedly.
  • Fixed an issue in Survival mode that caused the crew of armored vehicles to stay alive after the vehicle was destroyed, interrupting progression to the next wave.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the folder office from being unlocked at the end of the campaign.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash when exiting the game already.
  • Fixed an issue that some players encountered when Axis soldiers crouched in midair.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented birds from getting stuck in place.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Wind from being incorrectly disabled in Campaign / Survival.
  • Mine’s trigger volume has been increased to ensure they fire within range, regardless of human or vehicle targets.
  • Fixed an animation issue where an AI soldier would get off his bike after being hit while he was dead.
  • Fixed an issue with turning headlights on and off based on player proximity.
  • Microphone volume no longer automatically returns to 100% every time a player returns to the game.
  • Other minor bug fixes and improvements
