How to get the most out of your iPhone camera

The iPhone camera allows you to take fantastic photos, but are we really using all its potential? Here are some of our best tips and tricks for making your photos look like they were taken with a professional camera, by a professional photographer!

Record video in 4K

To record in 4K, go to the camera settings and tap “Record Video”. From there, tap “4K at 60 fps”.

Use presets

With iPhone 13, you can set photo styles by choosing a preset (e.g. your favorite levels of warmth, contrast, vibrancy, etc.). Once you’ve set your style, every photo you take will look consistent.

Adjust the light before shooting

Did you know that you can adjust the brightness of a photo before you even shoot? After tapping the screen, you will see a small sun icon appear.

Try night mode

Night mode is activated automatically when the camera detects a dark environment. The moon icon in the corner turns yellow when night mode is active.

Get more in the frame with a 0.5 wide angle lens

If you have an iPhone 11, 12 or 13, try the ultra wide lens!

Play with Proraw

However, after taking your photo with ProRAW, you can fine-tune it using the editing application of your choice, without losing any detail or quality.

You can use the PRORAW function by touching the RAW button in the upper corner of the screen after opening the camera app. This feature is only available on iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Play with it and unleash your editing creativity!
