Fortnite Mobile “Missing 90 and 45 FPS Settings” on Android devices

New updates are added at the bottom of this story …….

The original story (published May 13, 2022) follows:

Fortnite Mobile is the mobile and tablet version of Epic Games’ Battle Royale game.

Fortnite Mobile tries to offer almost the same experience as the original game, but by adapting it to touchscreens.

To accommodate different types of hardware, Fortnite Mobile also offers various graphics settings. Gamers can change things like the level of detail and the FPS speed.

Fortnite Mobile recently received a patch after which the 90 FPS and 45 FPS options disappeared from the graphics settings. However, this has an explanation (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Seven, 8, 9, ten, 11, 12, 13, 14).

There is a lack of 90 FPS and 45 FPS in the Fortnite Mobile settings

According to multiple reports, the latest Fortnite Mobile patch caused performance issues and the loss of additional FPS options (1, 23, 4, 5, 6, seven, 8).

There is no 45 to 90fps for android gamer before this shit happened only 30 which never stays at 30fps move camera fps drop to 8fps sometimes a game you made for high end Snapdragon 888 phones

No 45 fps or 90 fps on my OnePlus 8?!?!

Will this be fixed soon? I don’t even get 25fps on my OnePlus 8 which normally gets 90fps easily! There is no tweet explaining anything on Fortnite Status’s Twitter! Communicate with the mobile community !!

Performance issues mainly manifest themselves with severe FPS drops during matches.

Fortnite optimization.

So today when I started fortnite the game started optimizing content randomly, not after the latest updates but it did today and instead of improving my performance now I have so many fps issues that I only get 15 -20 right after jumping off the battle bus before it’s 40-50 and I have so many fps drops, I run, my fps will go down, I shoot someone my fps will go down, I build my fps will go down, I use my pickaxe my fps will decrease.

Here is the official word of Epic Games

The Epic Games team shed some light on the performance issues. They claim that it all depends on Fortnite Mobile’s compatibility conflicts with the latest GPU drivers on multiple devices.

The company is currently working with partners to resolve the issue. However, there is still no ETA for this.

Due to some GPUs having compatibility issues with recent driver updates, Android players may experience a drop in performance or no longer see options for either 45fps or 90fps graphics settings.

We are actively working with our partners and will provide an update as soon as it becomes available. Updating your Android OS and drivers as updates become available can help you in the meantime.

Additionally, a community coordinator at Epic Games added that the loss of Fortnite Mobile’s 90 FPS and 45 FPS settings is due to the game being currently in “compatibility mode”.

We will update this story as new developments emerge on the issue in the future.

Update 1 (August 15)

11:17 (IST): Fortnite support on Twitter has confirmed that devices with Adreno 660 or later will have the ability to run Fortnite at 90 FPS. In addition, devices for which the option was missing will also reactivate it.

📱 Hello android players! In next week’s update, devices with Adreno 660 or higher will have the ability to run Fortnite at 90 FPS. Devices that previously had 90 FPS will also see it reactivated. If your device is compatible, you will find the available setting after the update is complete. (Source)
