What if we break the taboos on women? This is what you chose to do Cécile Dormeau, a French artist. Body positivism, received ideas, injunctions, self-acceptance … Many subjects that you the artist has chosen to highlight in unique illustrations. Her goal? Destroy injunctions around women in today’s society. For example, it evokes women and hair, women and menstruation, women and mental weight or even the right to own one’s own body.

An artist who breaks stereotypes

With her colorful illustrations, she deconstructs stereotypes and inspires many women around the world to love each other as they are. Asked by Panda boredCécile Dormeau confided her commitment to women: “We all face problems and sometimes our lives don’t match what society expects of us. There is no one way to be or to live your life. I like to celebrate imperfection and try to be as authentic as possible “.

The artist also expressed her views on social networks and feminist advances in society: “We are moving forward (…) Of course, not everything is perfect because these topics have become marketing tools, and at times they can seem a bit empty or hypocritical”he confided. She added: “We all feel the pressure to be ‘perfect’. If I start to feel bad because my wax is not perfect for going to the beach, I realize that enjoying the bath means more to me than taking care of it. (…) Perfect people are boring “.

As you will have understood, Cécile’s main mission is to make people smile and above all to break the clichés around the perfect woman: “The main message I want to convey is ‘you are not alone’ “he concluded. Naturally, the French artist shares her illustrations on her Instagram account. And believe us, it’s worth the detour!
